The rumor mill is abuzz with the talk of Nvidia GTX 1660 graphics card. It is expected to launch in the coming few days. Photos of custom GTX 1660 graphics card models from different AIB partners have also surfaced.
Nvidia GTX 1660 SUPER – What Are The Improvements?
Nvidia GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card will feature the same 1408 CUDA cores that the standard 1660 GPU has. Its base clock and boost clock are also the same – 1530MHz and 1785MHz respectively. The main difference is that the GTX 1660 SUPER card uses GDDR6 memory instead of the GDDR5 memory seen on the current variant. It will result in an effective memory clock of 14Gbps as against the 8Gbps of the GTX 1660 non-SUPER graphics card. Interestingly, Nvidia’s GTX 1660Ti has 12Gbps of effective clock speed, which indicates that we might see a SUPER variant of this GPU as well. It may result in a slight increase in performance though we may only be able to confirm after the products are launched.
